Project For 4 elements

Kupiskis Youth Centre invite young persons from Latvia, Sweden and Lithuania  through the EU programme Youth in Action for a week in Lithunia the Summer 2009. The purpose of the project idea was to share experiences and discuss about ecology and environmental issues. The young persons spent 4 days of eight in nature with different activities, canoeing, horse riding, talking and acting in the light of these subjects.

At the end of the project the young persons took part in the annual event, Lingudala, an international festival with music, traditional dances and folk music.

The meetings between young persons and leaders lead to better understanding and communication between people even if the languages are different, in 4 elements it was Swedish, English, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, French and body language that were spoken.

landulla.com give thanks to the association Gotland Baltikum and Vänner Emellan, Boxholm and all the other organisations and associations in Sweden that have informed and invited young persons to participate in the project.

Next time, we hope that we in Sweden have the possibility to invite our new friends from Latvia and Lithuania to continue the work for nature protection and ecology and also to invite young persons from other countries to join.
